The Fourth Zigi Gonczarowski Research Conference

The Fourth Zigi Gonczarowski Research Conference was held at the Shamir Medical Center, celebrating the outstanding basic and clinical research conducted across the Center.

The meeting was opened by Prof. Osnat Levtzion-Korech, who shared exciting new plans to advance innovation in research. This was followed by Dean Prof. Karen Avraham, who highlighted the strong teaching and research collaborations between the Gray Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences and Shamir Medical Center. Awards were presented to speakers who showcased their latest research in pediatric and adult gastroenterology, including cutting-edge work on the microbiome.

Congratulations to Prof. Ilan Youngster, Dr. Adi Ein Dor, Dr. Anton Bermont, and Dr. Daniel Cohen for their inspiring contributions. The Gonczarowski family was warmly thanked for their remarkable and longstanding contribution to the development of gastroenterology at the Center over the years. Looking forward to many more meaningful collaborations between our Faculty and the Shamir Medical Center!
